open source VoIP software?

hay guys

can anyone reccomend some open source VoIP software? I am looking for a replacement for ventrilo, which is no longer free. I have a bunch of friends and we use it while gaiming and just B-S-ing. we would need a windows version (my friends are n00bs and are not a l33t Linux h4xor like me..... J/K) but i could run a linux server, that is, if its a client - server type of program line ventrilo.

thanks a bunch guys

Oops, sorry!

I wasn't too sure wether it NEEDED to be oss, or wether he just meant a linux client though.

i'm sure skype is free, it's also available for both windows and linux, it currently has some issues to sort out like not storing contact names, but it's certainly one to watch out for

I use Skype on Suse 9.2 and it works great. Its free calling another person with Skype, but you are charged for calling non Skype phones. Check it out!

OpenWengo

OpenWengo and Project Gizmo are both open source VoIP solutions.
