    I paid $79.99USD. The Fry's next to me has also started selling the upgrade for $59.99. You usually don't see the upgrade on retail shelves.

    Is that true
    MadPenguin releases "preview reviews" for SuSE before each major release, so they're obviously getting something special from Novell. Hardware and game companies do this a lot too. They send out a pre-release of their gadget/game to reviewers so that by the time the product hits the market there's (hopefully) a bunch of positive buzz about it.

    Hmm. Well now, I never thought about that...
    I don't see why not, especially if it was an operating system, because once its installed to the hard drive, even if they took it back, it would still be there, right?

    I don't think they would take it back. It is open source, and you are allowed to copy it. So the only thing they would be getting back is a cd/dvd.
