I'm too lazy to figure out all my specs right now, despite the fact that my case is wide open, but I know I have an MSI board with a P4 hyperthreader - which I can't make use of under 98SE. I've got a GeForce FX 5500, and 512 RAM.
I always build my own machines (read: I screw up and have my dad bail me out). However, I think my harddrive these days is too bloated for me to make good use of my newer hardware. I have data from the early 90s still on here, so you can imagine that the windows registry is pretty clogged, not to mention my whole 8 partition directory structure. My mandrake system is slightly weaker, but runs a few games faster.
I'm planning on eventually merging the two OSes on one box, and then perhaps retiring my 98SE harddrive and starting fresh with a more modern and cruddier version of Winwoes.\"Nifty News Fifty: When news breaks, we give you the pieces.\" - Sluggy Freelance

An "old" box build this summer:
- P4 3,2 Ghz HT
- 4 Kingston memory sticks, each 512 mb
- Geforce ti 4200 video card.
- 120 Gb HDD, of which only 20 Gb is used. (What do I have to put on the other 100 Gb? Lesbo Porn?)
- Some Intel motherboard
- An ancient HP CRT monitor.
- Some keyboard designed by an idiot, because all the keyboards I can get come standard with those moronic extra feautures, such as "Internet" (calls Internet Explorer), "Chat" (calls AIM or MSN *puke*) and the worst of all: "Sleep" which they put near the Escape button.
The bad thing is, is that all those buttons work, since I have linux on VMware.
