Just a quick question. I heard that the biggest problem with having a computer in your car is all the vibrations, which are supposed to reduce the lifetime of most harddrives to something like a few months. Is this really an issue or not?

The vibration is a problem but there are many ways around this the cheapest I have seen is a box that suspends sinsitive items with rubber bands, but on the other hand you can buy specilized items (HDD and other) that are desined to take the abuse.

i believe laptop hard drives are more vibration-resistant than regular 3.5" drives, as well, so I will probably be sing on of those
