From what I have seen as long as you are respectful and put in your work (i.e. do a google search at LEAST before you ask a question) the people here are very helpful. There is also already a very vast wealth of knowledge on the forum, using the search tool (top right of screen) can most likely render you an answer with out having to wait for some to respond to a new post. I am also very new, but hey Welcome anyway!

I am now officially extending you a warm welcome...you weren't expecting THAT, now were you?

tmackey, "Welcome to the Community.." I just read over your previous posts. Ouch. I hope you got that straightened out so you can come here on your Linux system. JCaserta makes some good points on how to get the most out of these forums. I'd like to add that it helps to have a good subject line for posts: that makes them more likely to draw the right kind of attention. There are lots of great people here, so let us know how we can help.

What is the "me.incrementPostCount();" thing? I have seen Moe do it a few times...

Code:
if (postcount <10000)
printf("welcome");
else
printf("I am lakerdonald");

Geek humour, but I guess I'm a geek too, since I rofl'ed first time I saw it. Is that Java? First time I saw it was in response to a guy that asked, in the Coffee Lounge "i was just wondering, if i posted something that makes no sense at all here (coffee lounge) would you maybe get irked and lock that thread???". Would have linked, but the thread was binned....
