"The Facts According to Microsoft" is a better title, I think. They commissioned the "studies" to which they refer, which of course say that Microsoft Server and using Microsoft products is actually cheaper in "total cost of ownership" than running a "similar" platform using Linux.

You'll note I had to quote a lot of things because the popular definitions of these terms do not apply to the Microsoft-funded surveys. To give an example, "similar" platforms means one stripped-down server on different hardware running against a heavily-optimized Microsoft Server OS in a very limited sample. I'm not all that ruffled by this though, because anyone that believes this media spin (and that's all it is folks) deserves to get conned into using Microsoft's offerings. I certainly don't want these morons trying to run MY favorite operating system, after all.
