    was just browsing around on google news as usual and came across an article about open solaris. ive never used anything by sun before so i'll be up for trying it. just wondering what you guys make of their offerings and is it likely to have any impact on linux?
    You know, aliens are going to come to earth in 50 years and kill the hell out of us for DDoSing their networks with this SETI crap

    I think I'll wait til I have more free time to try it out. I am spending enough time teaching myself java, other sun products will just have to wait their turn.

    I am still working on learning Slack, and Linux in general, FC3 disks are already burned and waiting. So this, if ever, will just have to wait.

    I try almost every operating system I can get my hands on so if I get a copy of this, I will most likely try it. As of right now though, I have no plans on getting a copy.
