What's your case like? (subject of modding)

    What is your case like?
    eg. Lanboy, home made

please include size (normal, small), and anyhting like fans, front USB, Firewire, etc
    also any cold cathodes etc

    is your pc modded?

    my case: dimensions; width=690mm, height=570, depth=220
my case is an old Olivetti 486 server and required some major modifications to get the motherboard, PSU and hard drive to fit in.
It also required me to fit a new key power on switch+ reset button+LEDs

Man, things in 1989 (when the computer was made) were chunky! I wasn't alive then so i do not know exactly went on in those days.

    to give you an idea:
-the motherboard took up just about all of one side of the case
-the PSU was half the size of the case and was mounted at the front
-the interface card was almost the full height of the case
-BUT IT COULD STILL FIT IN A CD DRIVE EASILY WHEN IT ORIGINALLY HAD A 5 1/4 INCH FLOPPY DRIVE IN IT
-oh last thing, the hdd was about 512mb and twice the height of a hdd today

    Can u beat this??????

    Two Lian-Li's at the moment, 1 PC-50 and 1 PC-60, both with front-USB...

1 pc without case atm , my PIII with Kanotix, should become a download box, but i haven't figured out which case i would take - should be superquiet, CPU & VGA are passively cooled, PSU would be Zalman, so I'm still looking for what suits me best

My biggest pc contains this: Athlon Xp 2500+ at 3200+ speeds with Thermalright SP-97 heatsink, 1 Gig RAM (Twinmos), A7N8X-E mobo with FireWire & 6x USB 2.0, 2x Maxtor 80 Gig S-ATA, 1x Western Digital 200 Gig P-ATA, Hauppauge PVR500 (haven't got it working under linux yet ), Radeon 9700 at Pro speeds, cooled with Zalman heatpipe solution, Asus CD-RW 48x16x, NEC DVD+/-RW 3520 , Enermax 375W PSU.

And off course the obligatory floppy drive
