dillo is meant to be a lightweight browser iirc. IE is microsoft's flagship browser and the "standard" by which others are judged. considering how poorly it performs and the size of its memory footprint you'd expect a bit more from it.
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

I'm still using Firefox but have been thinking about switching to Dillo and just might do it when the next version is released.
