    Ah, thanks for clarifying that. There are too many slang words in the australian culture, too hard to keep track of them all

    I too am surprised that Australia was ranked higher than Canada in teh hdi index. I thought that Canada having the better education, healthcare and economic system would rank higher than australia.

    My theory for this is that in most parts of australia, it is warm and sunny all year round. in canada, its cold all year around according to the mass media (please correct me if i am wrong).

    Not all year round, but Canada is cold as **** most of the year round...parts of B.C. around Vancouver are not really cold in the winter; however, like Northern California they are not really warm in the summer either
