    why do you personally use linux?


    not: why should I?

    but rather; why exactly do you choose to use linux. i'm not indicating that you have no reason do so. quite the opposite; i can see many good reasons, but what does it bring you personally?

    Incompatible in what way? I can create pretty much any document, file, etc. using Linux and allow it to be read by pretty much any MS program.

    Next question.......

    yes i aggree. linux has been developed very well and can copy what most windows programs do now.

    i use linux because :
    1. i dont like the way microsoft is dominant
    2. i wanted to try something new
    3. i heard linux was more secure than microsoft
    4. i liked the many of the ideas that are incorperated into linux

    That counterargument you just gave is as good a reason as any to use Linux... all the Windows malware isn't compatible either.

    Personally I use it for the complete control, I can install exactly what I want and nothing more, and never have to reinstall or upgrade my OS for a new release (rolling current).

    why? because their is no standard OS!
    try all.. then choose or use what suit your needs..

    why linux?
    if you are windows user you can see this reasons
    - safe from spyware
    - safe from virus
    - hacker free
    ( but not 100% free!)
