    OS needed


    Can anyone recommend an os for an old dell 486? It doesn’t even have a cdrom, not sure if it can take one.

    I also got a 386 but the battery leaked and damaged the board.

    You might be able to install Damn Small Linux via floppy disks. There's a walkthrough here:

    sucks that the battery leaked.

    i would try to find a cd drive for it. even a external if you have to.
