    Dual-booting


    What's up? This is Climhazzard007 (Clim for short). I dual-boot. Do you? Is it good? Is it bad? I dual-boot XPPro and Mandriva. Give me your opinions! By the way, which is better, LILO or GRUB( i think that's right...might be GNUB or KNOB or even STITCH[get it..lilo and stitch....i get no laughs])

    i use grub, windows xp media center, fedora core 3 on dekstop. contimplating dual booting laptop with xp pro, fedora core 3

    I use GrUB to dual boot 4 linux distros (Gentoo, Slackware, Jedi and SuSE), no win on this box

    I use lilo for two linux distros, gentoo and parsix, looking for another one to add, but cannot figure out for the life of me which to use...just got rid of slackware finally

    GRUB is better IMO, and I use it to boot all the distros in my sig.

    For the moment I use GRUB to dual-boot FreeBSD 5.4 and Gentoo 2005.0, but I think I'm going to try LFS too in a couple of days... About GRUB/LILO is best I beleve LILO has his own streangths, for example that since it uses the linux naming-sheme (READ: /dev/hda1 instead of (hd0,0)) which IMO is easier since I'm used too it, and that in many cases when grub won't work, LILO does work...

    Was a big LILO fan for several years, but then learned the benefits of GRUB - way cool!

    I dual with Fedora Core 4 Test 3 and Fedora Core 3 and soon Fedora Core 4.
