I hope it will work on my laptop!

One thing I appreciated about debian when I had it installed on my desktop was that it didn't insist on loading as much crap as Fedora/Redhat did. Not that I don't appreciate Fedora's robustness, but sometimes I want a system that's a little more trimmed.

As of last night I'm no longer testing I'm stable. I feel old fashioned and out of step. Should I buy a hat and start driving a big Buick at ten miles below the speed limit?

On irc://irc.freenode.org/#debian it says that KDE 3.4 isn't packaged yet. I'm waiting for that until I install Sarge.

    It's about time!

I did netinstalls from the testing branch forever, and they worked quite well, but I don't know if I'll get around to trying Debian again, or not. It's tempting, but Arch, Gentoo, and Slack have been working mighty fine lately.

All this talk about Debian makes me want it. I have dial-up though, so it would take me until I have to go back to school (about 2.5 months) to get it .

Anyone willing to send me a copy of the CD's/DVD's? .

My DL of the second Debian DVD is just about done... time to upgrade bro!
broadband is real cheap these days. I'm in Vancouver and i was paying $26 /mo. for dial-up a few years ago. Now I have ADSL for $29 /mo.
