I must laugh at the mental picture I get when I hear "duel" booting.. Imagine a lightsaber battle between MS Windows (Sith) and Linux (Jedi) over which OS you will use today.

i'm still a newbie but i've heard lots of horror stories about ATI and Linux. You are investing a lot of money so be sure to check its compatibility and support.

    best of luck

You won't be able to play many "pimp games" if you refuse to use a Geforce. As geese mentioned, ATI has a very spotty Linux history.

Totally agree... I have tried the official ati drivers, on my (old, ok then) ATI Radeon 7000 the DRI accelerations drivers work a LOT better. Yes thats what I'm saying, the open source driver beats the **** out of the official ones. Or maybe it's just my card not supported? (did'nt check )
