    But, yeah, that must have sucked. But there was one application (I forget what) that yelled at me when I ran ./configure as root, and I realized I could do otherwise...

    i would just like to take a minute and say yes, linux is great. ok so it calls me stupid, but i would rather it call me stupid all day, and have me learn something from it, rather than go on my merry way doing things wrong and dangerous and end up with a BSOD. So M$ KISS IT!!!
