what exactly is jedi linux the site says

Quote:
What is Jedilinux?

Jedilinux is a new Linux distribution created by Andy Kissner. At the moment, 0.1 is the current release, and is available for download from the download section of this site. It is, as current, only a chroot-able environment rather than a fully installable OS.
but it also says

Quote:
Jedilinux Installer
Description: Jedilinux Universal Installer for Jedilinux 0.1
Version: 0.1 | File size: 2 bytes
Added on: 09-May-2005 | Downloads: 17

Yeah, the script itself downloads the base system over the internet for you and extracts it to a given directory.
