    blast you fileplanet

i'm just downloading the linux client for NWN from fileplanet (in my 6th hour now not long left) and bloody hell the counter is jumping up and down. has anyone else encountered such an inconsistent bitrate. i'm lucky if it stays over 40 kbps but sometimes it goes as low as 10kbps! i'd think that fileplanet could offer a more consistent connection considering the server isn't even full. thank god i haven't subscribed to them. anyone else have problems with dodgy servers? (yes i am very bored, 1 hour left)
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

I generally avoid FilePlanet like the plague; the whole "wait in line, because we say so" idea bothers me. The times that I have had to use it gave me a consistent bitrate, though. On the subject of the NWN client, I used the Loki Installer to pull the game data from the CDs and install the client for me. It seemed to work.
