    i use damn small linux
    used to us e it on my web server untill i got a bigger hard drive

    also use it in emergancies
    eg when i mess up something and the sys wont boot

    knoppix best boot disk on earth i want x when i take over a winbox

    i use DSL on my laptop and occasionally a freeSBIE (freeBSD live cd) on my desktop.
    You know, aliens are going to come to earth in 50 years and kill the hell out of us for DDoSing their networks with this SETI crap

    I dont use Live CD's due to the fact that I dont have one and I cant be bothered downloading one. For me, when ever my system refuse to boot, a simple format c:\u fixes most things, or a reinstallation of linux does the trick.

    The reason I do this is that whenever my system didn't boot in the past, it was because I screwed around with it too much and it would be safer to do a reinstall than a rescue.

    I probably will end up downloading Knoppix or something just to try it out.

    well you wont learn from any mistakes then, and your sys is always gonna be generic and not customized

    Cool article. I mainly use Xfld (knoppix with Xfce instead of KDE), or DSL on older sistems.
