Looking for the Linux TV Commercials

A couple years ago, I remember seeing a television ad during the superbowl for linux (at this point I had never even seen a 'nix box). I'd like to get another look at the ad, and others like it. After doing some google digging, I found that IBM was responsible, but they've removed all traces of it from their site and I can't track down any mirrors. Does anybody know where I can find them?

Also, I'm wondering why IBM chose to run a campaign for linux - did they really just feel like putting some money into a neat cause or did they have a specific motive in mind?

Well, the reason IMO that IBM ran Linux commercials was to sell more of their servers. These servers just happen to run Linux, but that's besides the point. I don't see IBM trying to further the Linux "cause" so much as further their bottom line.

That being said, IBM has done some very good things for the Linux and OSS community such as their open-source Eclipse development tool (which I use at work), as well as their release of many patents for the express use by the OSS community. They're not *all* about the money IMO.

I saw that commercial during the Superbowl as well. If I recall correctly, the advertisement gave this URL at the end: ibm.com/linux. I don't know if you can still see the advertisement, but that page is still there and maintained.

In case anyone else is interested, I found:
http://www.google.com/search?biw=&hl...=Google+Search (Thank Goog for domain-filtered searches)
    Which led me to:

    http://www-5.ibm.com/e-business/uk/l...actic=305AX03W
    http://www-306.ibm.com/e-business/on...rt_linux.shtml

Pretty neat, but I don't see the one with all the professors teaching the prodigy symbol - that was the best.
