    Just realised I'd voted but not commented on my own post!

    I grew up only 60miles stagger from Bushmills distillery (N.Ireland), so I had to vote for irish. My favourite is their 12 year old single malt, but I think you can only get that from the distillery. Mostly I drink Black Bush, cos I couldn't afford a single-malt habit on my student wages.....
    My favourite scotch.... hmmmmm..... Difficult, but it would be a toss up between Glenfarclas and Edradour (or is it edredour?).
    From the N.American stuff I have to choose Maker's Mark on the rocks.

    I have to go with black label Daniels. From Alabama Grew up on Moon shine(family still owns a still-however it is nolonger in use), JD, and Budweiser.

    'Jamesons' Irish for me with ginger ale. Being as though my family are Irish, I was brought up on it! When I was a kid, my nan used to give me whisky mixed with hot water & sugar which she called 'punch'
