Is this not thair buisness model? Why did we expect anything revolutionary? We should of expected it from a company that makes most of it's money from tech support! And still charges for it's OS.

i have been phasing windows out slowly over time as it is so maybe this is the version i finally quit using windows entirely at. i have been wanting to get away from windows for some time. longhorn has been a complete rewrite however it still is a M$ product and will most likely cost a fortune for the ametuer edition and double a fortune for the more than ametuer version.

Someone gave me a beta of longhorn about a month ago, still haven't been bothered installing it. Happy with SuSE for everything but Games, but I may just get an ethernet adapter for my PS2 to make it up.
- 07-11-2005 #28or is that downgrade?

Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

I'll wait to see it. I'm surprised that some of you are so sure already...
