    but ive used linspire on someone elses box and i just didnt like the whole feel of it. i guess to each their own though. is it based on anything such as debian or red hat or is it iits own thing? im pretty sure that its by itself but i like to check.

    wee bit bloty, with some distro like ubuntu i wish they provided a "media pack" with the codecs. The only problem is the legality of distrobuting it, but say if the media pack was distrobuted from a country with out the same legal restrictions that would be problem solved.
