    so i finaly ordered my new comp parts


    heres wat i got

    CASE : TURBO X-DREAMER CASE
    CPU : (s-939) AMD ATHLON64 3000+ CPU
    MOTHERBOARD : (S939)MSI K8N NEO4-F nForce4 PCI-E w/GbLAN,USB2.0,&7.1Audio
    MEMORY : 512 MB PC3200 400MHz DDR MEMORY (Corsair Value Select)
    HARD DRIVE : 40GB 7200 RPM
    VIDEO CARD : NVIDIA Geforce 6600 GT 128MB 16X PCI EXPRESS VIDEO CARD

    what you guys think?

    With the exception of that small hard drive. That looks like a sweet rig.

    When I say small hard drive, I mean you could only get 3 or 4 distros on there. I need more.

    Yeah, very similar to my new PC, except or hard drive and RAM (250SATA for me, and 2 gig of Carsair valueselect)

    lol... 3 or 4 of my boxes have 40-gig hard drives and they all have something like 30-gigs of unused space left on them. I just don't keep much of anything that I don't use on them.

    ya same here, i have a extra 80 gig lieing around if i need more space...


    edit: also another gig of ram... so it will probobly total around 1 gig or 1.5 gigs[/url]

    an 80 gb drive at newegg is cheaper than a 40gb drive.....

    get more ram...

    yes i loved my old amd, but my last few computers have been intell, so i wana check it out again

    Sounds like a good setup. I'm looking into buying another rig myself. I would get something like that but the HDD is a little small. You should think about getting something like an 80...but that's just imo.
