There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.

Well, YaST is certainly a lot less flashy in this release. I wonder if they just do that for beta releases and then add the bells and whistles for the commercial release, or if that's the direction they're going to go for 10... less is more perhaps?

YaST is starting to look a bit like MCC there...Though these are two really nice config panels anyway so it can't hurt IMO.

Actually, I think what they were trying to do is fit all of the modules into a relatively small window without a scroll bar for a "look and feel" adjustment. Not a bad idea, I guess, but less eye-candyish.

    Flatline...
What kernel are they using in Beta1? I've been having system clock issues with 9.3 64bit and they recommended i try beta 1 to fix the problem. Apparently they think it's been fixed in that version.

I too tried to install it, but it froze at the grub install and i aborted. Maybe i'll give it another try. It did give me the option to upgrade my 9.3 install which i didn't take since this is still beta software.

They're using 2.6.13-rc5 in this release.
