ahah krishnas, Mad TV made fun of them once..

No, I'm just a huge Beatles fan. I couldn't imagine dressing up in orange robes and giving out flowers at airports

Simpsons quote right? I always liked that one myself.

BTW, if anyone is wondering - I am not a religious person, I just like The Beatles a lot, Harrison is my favorite Beatle, and I thought it was just wildly funny that he looks like Jesus in the pic.

    Hippies are cool

And did you know the Bible was written by stoners?:smoke: The pages are very thin, perfect for rolling a J:smoke:, if you catch my drift

Anyhoo, didn't mean to turn this into a religious thread, let's just keep it cool otherwise this will get locked out.

EDIT: haha I just found this smiley: :smoke:

I'm curious how the connection from George Harrison to Hare Krishna went...

I remember the words of "The Ballad of John and Yoko" (if only it was George):

"Christ, you know it ain't easy,
You know how hard it can be.
    The way things are going,
    They're gonna crucify me!"

This picture reminds me of that .

Ah yes, I have heard that song more than once.

Also note that John Lennon was damn near crucified when he quoted in public that The Beatles were bigger than Jesus, this was right after the release of "Rubber Soul" in late 1965, and really it was true. 1964 was the year of Beatlemania with mass hysteria for the mop topped young gentlemen from England, something like Beatlemania had never really been seen before and at the time The Beatles were bigger than religion (or at least with 15 year old girls).

Harrison wasn't a really known Beatle really, it's a shame too because he had a lot of talent and the songs he did write were amazing.

Sorry just when you said he looks jesus like i thought you ment in a religouse way. But i also thought you might just like the beatles. Cabhan Harrison loved the krishnas he gave them his big mansion round the corner from me when he died, they seem like nice people you can have lunch with them and do what ever it is they do (meditate i think?).
