    Think small

Right idea, but start small instead of going all cold-turkey at once. Why not still ride your Jag but instead of using "fuel" have forty or fifty thrid-world immigrants pull it around for you while you slather them with all that food grease you'll be saving?

With doubts over the longitivty of oil supply in the world, it would be saffer to change the infrastrcture over time instead of shooting our selfs in the foot. On another note I said gas, bloody hell the ausie and irish influance on me is going.

Work the conversions out yourselves guys...

Here in Dublin, unleaded varies between 1.07 to 1.27 Euros, Diesel is around 1.09 to 1.12 Euro but I heard on the Irish news tonight that the prices will soar again in the next few days (they seems to go up about twice a week at the moment). Also, like the UK, we're taxed to the hilt on fuel, not just Petrol and Diesel but home -heating oil will be drastically affected this Winter.

I am starting a new job on Tuesday, and I am glad to say that I will no longer have to drive.
I will be riding my bicycle to work.
    About 12 miles one way.

I don't think I will be able to afford to drive, my minivan only gets 21/mpg.
