20 miles to get to the bus stop. The bus takes me in another 20 miles into downtown. Total 40 miles roughly from where I live to where I work.

    How far to work?

Since I am retired, it's not very far (about 50 feet from anywhere in the house to the computer.

The longest I ever drove to work was 52 miles, but about 49 of it was freeway, and we had four people in a carpool. Two of us switched off driving, and I drove a four passenger Honda Civic hatchback which got about 48 miles per gallon.

Mostly I have driven between 10 and 20 miles to work.

It all depends on where I'm working, when I'm offshore I just have to walk from berthing to the work area. :P

In any event I don't have to worry as the customer is billed for air travel/rental car/gas/hotel/meals.
