    I don't guess I'll have that prob, since I build my boxes rather than buy. Most of the time, it's from stuff someone else is trying to throw away! Granted, it ain't bleeding edge, it's still decent stuff!

    But M$ just bought some BIOS manuf. (Phoenix?), IIRC...and it looks as if they'll be trying to edge out other OS's through that route...making the BIOS not accept/boot anything but a digitally signed ver. of windex, etc.

    /me shrugs.

    that is one of the most frightening things i've heard of M$ doing... if they manage to pull that off...... **shudders at the mere thought**

    Guess that's one mfg I won't be buying, when the financial gates open again!

    I really thought win was a good thing, until I started messing with linux. Stuff you have to pay big bucks for in win come with linux, and the stuff that comes with win, ...well...(pardon my french, guys) sucks hind tit

    I stll have alot to learn about linux, especially in konsole mode. Win's main advantage is that blondes can use it
