    Ok I will start the ball rolling. At Uni, I had a tutorial to prepare, I can't remmember the details but there was an implicit assumption : If a > 0 and b > 0 then (a + b) > 0. It is so obvuous I didn't even mention that as an assumption!

    Anyway, all my work being finished, I go to the student Union to relax and chill out. When I return, I of course a give my tutorial a quick "coup d'oiel." At this point everything went to the dogs.

    I am looking at the tutorial and start to think, mmm this needs to be proved! How would you go about doing that, mmm is it realy true! mmmm! Within a few minutes, I was certain that I could prove by contradiction that it was in fact false!

    About six hours later, several gallons of coffee and a big black plastic bag full of waste paper, I suddemly realized exactly what it was it was trying to do

    The thing is, I still cant look at this this theorem without thinking mmmm

    Ediit

    Can you imagine what the Universe would be like if it was false

    If you want a Linux context, try chmod 666 for a file.

    Interesting. In base 29, according to that site fingal linked:

    666 = MS

    Oh wait! No! I'm going to have to mod myself. LOL.

    To paraphrase the Book of Revelation: "The number of the Beast is Six Threescore and Six."

    And "Bill Gates III", when translated into ASCII values, is 666 (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antichrist).
