    I'm still here. The majority of the hurricane missed me entirely. We had some strong wind and a little bit of rain, power went out for a short period, but this morning power and water are on and nothing in my area is damaged other than a few stray tree limbs.     Yeah, you guys (and Galveston) really lucked out. Glad to hear it, because things could have turned out MUCH worse.

    i just found out that my parents who live in Port Neches, TX (right between Port Arthur and Beaumont) still have a house standing, but some of the neighbors weren't so lucky.
