    What fps did you get on CS:S with that card? I get 15-30 with same model, but I have a piece of **** Intel Celeron CPU,
    well he has a peice of **** pentium 3 600 mhz
    I actually have an athlon 64 3200+, thank you very much....

    I dunno what my fps was....I think I played on medium tho...and had zero lag. The only reason i said that is because of the HUGE difference between my old FX5200 and my new 6600GT...its remarkable.

    Hl 2 also needs a fast enouth cpu because of the physics engine

    I actually played hl2 all the way through on high settings and it was ok.

    The great thing about CSS and HL2 is the Source engine. It optimizes the engine for your system. So it can run half-decently on a, say, a p3 1Ghz.

    I have a celeron-m in my laptop...but its clocked at 2GHz...I use my amd64 for everything.
