In a Wired issue (can't find the exact one: there was an article on Torvalds entitled "Leader of the Free World"), there was something "Memo From the Future". It was about Torvalds being hired by Microsoft.

I remember that one. Something about Microsoft ditched Windows, and started to make a GUI for Linux. I think they called it Winux.

I know that with most businesses that no matter how much you hate the other person, you usually know your compeditor. I would think that they would've met at some point. Then again, Bill is a prick as is known so I dunno. Good question.
