Gamepark Holdings new multimedia device is very inexpensive and yet it can compete with any other multimedia device out in the market today! Featuring a dual CPU core, 64MB of memory, SD card storage, and its Linux operating system gives the GP2X the potential no other handheld can offer.

Intriguing device, but I noticed it hasn't actually shipped yet, nor have I heard anything about it in mainstream gaming media... so like the Phantom, I await the actual product.

On the positive side, if it's real, it's a pretty good price/feature ratio.

Really? If I were to judge by the site linked:

Pre-orders for Gameparks new handheld system are now open for US$ 179.90, which is an incredible low price for a device of its capacity.

I would say that it hasn't. Come to think of it, I remember seeing one of these (the previous model, the GP32) at my local Fry's and thinking...ummm.. neat, but no. They've neatly side-stepped the idea of how to legally obtain the ROMs for the games they claim will play on this device with the included emulators. Meh. Nothing to see here.
