Like it or not people will bring religion into any topic they can! I came across that Ichtux distro quite a while ago, I'd say more than 6 months. I had no opinion on it, as I still don't, except the fact that I'm not going to be using it as it doesn't bring anything new to the table, much like gNewSense... the thought behind it is noble, but I can get the same thing with little effort elsewhere, be it a new wallpaper for the christian distros or disabling a few repos for full software freedom.

FYI, Ichthux has been around much longer than Ubuntu Christian Edition. It was added to the DistroWatch database later than UCE because, unlike UCE, it did not buy ad banners.

I'm going to close this thread as soon as I finish the major face lift on my page. 642 posts and 18,715 views is plenty old for a thread.

here is another distro for you to try. it seemed up your alley as far as use for your comic or at least you can tear it apart. http://grafpup.com/

Interesting. I'll take a look.

::UPDATE:: I did look at it, but it's not really worth a review for me. An integral part of my comic creation is being able to use my scanner, and the Grafpup Deluxe I downloaded does not include the SANE driver library or any type of scanner software. Thanks for the heads up though.

In that case, since you now have some extra time, I was wondering if you could rant about GoboLinux. I'm not sure if you've ever looked at it in the past, but I don't see anything on your current list.

The Unix tree rethought: an introduction to GoboLinux is a more "indepth" view of their unix tree thought.
