Lesson
I recently went back to my old high school and taught an introductory lesson on Linux in general. The whole district is of course all Windows all the time so they were all completely ignorant of Linux. I typed up a handout and gave out free copies of Knoppix 3.9 to anybody who wanted it so that they could screw around with it and not worry about damaging their Windows installation. I even set up Mandriva 2005 on one of the old PCs that wasn't being used so they could play with that in class. I just scrounged up enough extra parts from the back room to make it work. I believe that I had quite a few converts because next thing you know they're e-mailing me and yelling at me on messenger asking all these questions like, "I just reformatted my hard drive and installed such and such Linux and was wondering which movie player you would recommend and how do I get it to play .wmv files". I was all like, "awwwwwwww, my wittle students". Lol. anyway, just wanted to share that story.
