Check out clocky
I thought this was kind of funny.
It also won an Ig Nobel award, some of which are absolutely hilarious.

That is so funny
" Clocky will roll
off of the nightstand, fall to the floor, and run
around the room, searching for a place to hide."
Although I really don't need one of those! One of my cats wakes me at around 5.30am by jumping on my head and then tries to hide so I can't put her out. It's very annoying
Does anyone else think that 'Clocky' looks like a turd? Maybe I am strange...
- 10-12-2005 #3Clocky does indeed look like a turd. Perhaps we should e-mail clocky's designer and tell him?

i really don't need to start off my mornings hunting down a turd on wheels, that pretty much sets the tone for how my day's going to go.

Heh, clocky does indeed look like a turd of sorts.
Thanks to my creative re-arrangement of my uni timetable, I now start at 11 on most days. On the days I have to wake up early, it is to the sound of the most annoying thing at 5:30 am the news headlines...............Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.

Heh, I totally agree with you there Fingal.
Waking up like this can be scary at times. For example, I had a dream that I was going on a holiday and was flying to my destination, only to be woken up in mid dream with the clock blaring out ".. And in other news today, An airliner has crashed over the Mediteranean killing everyone on board...." For first few seconds I was in complete terror thinking wether I was alive or dead...
