http irc?
anybody know of any http (online) irc environments that support __downloading__. The reason I ask is that I'm at school right now and trying to get on irc (grin) to dl but do to the restrictions in place by the campus's firewall, I can't get on with any normal client... except CGI:IRC. alternatively, does anybody know how to get xchat or some other client to work on port 80 and http?

when I'm at a huge network that closes off certain ports I run through TOR, you should check it out, easy to connect with gnutella clients, etc...

I looked it up on freshmeat, and it appears to be a good solution to what I'm looking for
I'll go try it
thanks again
