that explains a lot!!! i was going to ask if you can add packages as easily in ubuntu as you can in openSUSE, but if you aren't on a a broadband connection (like my happy 6mbs cable connect) i could see why you might not like a distro that is short on packages....

- 10-19-2005 #32Well, considering I download the ISOs at work (which is a government T3), that's not the issue. I'd rather download a lot of discs that will have everything (or close to everything) I need on them, and bring those CDs home.

I'm a bum and I hate burning 5 cds per distro..so i like the 1 disk then download scheme. Too bad about the dial up though.
