which era do you feel most personally connected ?

Here in Trinidad, my favourite radio station has, what they call 80s Wednesday. Its 12 hours of 80s music from 6am to 6pm. (its what inspired this post). It’s all I listen to on Wednesdays. The 80s was a fun time for me; I even told someone that it was "my time" .

    So whats your time?

Well, that's sort of a broad question don't you think? I assume from your answer you're referring to "with which era of music do you most identify?"

You might also interpret your question as "in which era did you spend your childhood", or "with which era do you feel most personally connected?" My answers would probably be different for each.

I like 90s-era rock, as well as 70s-era rock, but I spent my childhood in the 80s. Some of my favorite TV shows were from the 80s (mostly cartoons).

It's definitaly the 90's for me. Best music, computers were all the rage, the internet was new, jobs were abundant, and best of all we (the USA) weren't starting a bunch of silly wars. Oh yeah, and Bill Clinton was pres.

Aha! The Democrats are still alive

    Enlightened to see that

As for me: the 90s definitely. I didn't notice most of the 80s (too young for that ). Though I like stuff like the Cure very much, but I only got to know it after.

Trust me, they'll smell it on both sides if they ever get their noses pointed in either direction.
