I'm looking for recommendations for video cards that will be able to play Nexuiz +Frozen Bubble and run KDE without any non-free (as in freedom, of course) drivers....

    video card with free 3D support for GNU/Linux

    get any Nvidia card...drivers work great.

    why not use nvidia's drivers?

    um, i think matrox has that. or mabye its just for 2d.

    You using X.org or XFree86?

    He means "free" drivers, as in open source. I can't find any NVIDIA wise, but why does it matter if its open source or not? At least they even release a Linux driver!
