- 11-01-2005 #42I read about this in a magazine several years ago! I saw some photos of the ancient skellys, and some of them were actually wearing a cloth that looked suspiciously like tartan.

Born in Yorkshire - making me an Englishman, living in Scotland, married to a Scottish lass. My son was born in Fife, my wife is pregnant again and if she again can't make it to Yorkshire, she will have our second child in Fife.
Damn the travelling distances and the fact that my kids can never play cricket for Yorkshire!

Just had to check in and put in a few words.
Scottish, German, Irish, and whatnot background, a true and loyal mongrel.
Glenfiddich for to drink, and red haired women for to play. Married a woman of Irish descent and loved every minute of it. Love the pipes, have absolutely no athletic skills, and can't dance a lick.
However, the Samhein feast was at our house this year.
From the various possibilities, I chose Clan MacLeod: a long and proud history, the MacKrimmons as pipers, and the best looking tartan. The MacLeod tartan is the background for my web site home page. (http://www.celticgeek.com)
