Hmmm. I feel a bit like John Cusack. So many movies, which really qualifies as a Top 5 Horror movie? Here are ones I either found very scary or just very interesting.

    Hellraiser
Stephen King's IT (Ok, it's a miniseries but still...)
Night of the Living Dead (the B&W version)
    Red Dragon/Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal
    13 Ghosts

Yes, so the Hannibal Lecter movies are more than one but since it's the same story I counted them as one entry... so sue me.

Hellraiser is my favorite horror film. It's the only scary one I've ever seen, mostly because it uses more psychological stuff than slasher, and the slasher parts are more effective.

Dracula (the 1931 with Bela Lugosi)
    Psycho (the 50's Version)
Night of the Living Dead (the Original 1968 release)
Godzilla (1956 Remake where they cut and pasted in Raymond Burr)
And the most terrifying of all Barney and Friends (*shudder* it's hard to even think about)

agreed, isn't the artwork really cool? gives you the chills... like i said, it relies more on psychological fear than slashing blood and guts all the time. It's a really unique movie. i can remember how scared i was when i was little and first saw the pinhead guy on tv... still kinda eerie today. the original hellraiser is the only good one though
