Nothing is wrong going with ease of use; however, both vi and emacs have several features that make them much easier to use once you learn them, especially vi, though I'm biased

Also, vi autosaves your changes, so if you forget to save your file you will be prompted of a newer version saved in swap that can be recovered. - 11-04-2005 #45haha diddnt pitr from user friendly make one of those mods? and liek the entire linux world went to hell because of his paperclip mod.. lol but yea.. i only use vi. i tryed to use emacs once i think and i diddn tlike it. vi jus seems so much more convieneint when your in a treminial and you need to edit somehting real quick.
