I personally think the idea of the "uber-gadget" that does tons of things but none of them very well is an over-hyped one. If I want a portable game system, I have a Gameboy. If I want a cell phone, I have a cell phone. I don't need a cell phone and crappy gameplayer, or gameplayer with a cell phone attached.. but perhaps that just me...

why are those 2 phones your only options? i assume that you're on the awful 3 network. if i were forced to choose, i would get the e616 as ot has more features.
besides, the ngage is the epitome of ugliness and the nec is a housebrick.

Yeah, last phone I got was from eBay, as long as I make sure the person has 100% positive feedback should be OK, otherwise my dad's credit card will get us our money back
- 11-08-2005 #7yeah, i suppose the credit card route will put your mind more at rest anyway

just something for you to bear in mind in future.

If youplan on joining 3, the e616 would be better anyday than the n-gage. What about something like a z1010. I have one of them and when I was planning to buy the phones, it was z1010 against the 616, and in the end the z1010 bettered (in my opinion) the e616.
Also, why use IE to bid on ebay, FF works just fine. :PLife is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.
- 11-08-2005 #10Someone at work told me about ebay sniping. This seems to involve using a package which will submit your bid at the last moment, outbidding the competition. Try this link ... just an idea.
