pretty cool window manager...
I just installed the OpenBox window manager to replace GNOME's preinstalled manager Metacity, which looked nice but was really heavy on the RAM. It's really really lightweight and it's the coolest thing I've seen all year. For all you people sick of how slow GNOME can be, you should try this out as it's made specifically for replacing Metacity. Here are some screenies:

But it still doesn't have window snapping. KWin is the best window manager.

Yeah, Openbox is nice, indeed. I used to run Fluxbox, but started playing around with Openbox about 4 or 5 months ago, and quickly found that I prefer it over Fluxbox, or Blackbox. It feels faster than either of the other two, at least on my machines.
That said, I then wound up switching to Pekwm, which is very much like the "....box" WMs. Still, I switch back to Openbox when I become bored.

i don't find GNOME slow at all. quite the opposite in fact. i have GNOME on FC4 and KDE on suse 10. with KDE(ie using kwin) with 1 superkaramba running, it uses on average 300MB RAM. GNOME(ie using metacity) with 5 gdesklets(ie calendar and to-do list, time, RAM/CPU/Memory usage monitor), it used on average 100MB. thats a 3rd as much as kwin and KDE, so i have no complaints.
