Have you tried Kororaa yet?
I've recently (yesterday) installed Kororaa you should try it.
Its the best distro I have tried to date (never managed to get Gentoo to work so I can't include that) the boot up time for a Linux distro is unbelievable!
I have been running F@H on for the last 24 hours and it is completing one work unit segment every 12 mins.
Very nice easy - trouble free installer I can only praise it so far - I have yet to see a down side.
I have always reverted back to SUSE but at last I may have found a distro to stick with for a while!
I realise that this may not be for the Gentoo purists out there but if this is what Gentoo has to offer then why do all the others exist?

Re: Have you tried Kororaa yet?
I always enjoy experimenting with new and/or different distros, so after reading your post, I decided to install it to see what it's all about. The installation went flawlessly and I was soon running a new Kororaa desktop. It was certainly easy enough to install, but total newbies might get a bit confused about what packages to install and which services to run at startup since there was no help offered in choosing them.

This hasn't happened to me with any distro since Fedora Core a few years ago, so I was surprised to run into this issue again. I'm betting this was an isolated case, but I'll keep a closer eye on it in the future. A quick reformat of the partitions and restoration of my default distro, Archlinux, had me back up and running in about 12 minutes, so not much time lost.
My own attempts at installing Gentoo in the past have always been successful, but installing Kororaa was much faster since there was no compiling of all that source code. Kororaa does look promising.

Never, ever heard of it before, but I think, by the sounds of this it is good, might as well give it a try, got time and bandwith to burn.

TuxMachines has just posted a review of Kororaa for anyone that might be interested in reading it:

I would probably try it if I had a third partition and wasn't too lazy to make one right now. Basically, I've adapted to Ubuntu and I can see that that's most likely where I will be. Is there a live CD by chance?

When I decided to try gentoo, I took a look at kororaa first, but the documentation for gentoo was just so good, I ended up installing it with very little trouble. Though IMHO, gentoo's strong point is the customization of the distro, and kororaa sort of detracts from this.
