Are they .run?
SuSE is nice enough(unless you have a slow computer and don't know how to install a faster WM), but don't expect to find more binary software for it(or even just as much). You don't really need them though. Most software comes in .tar.gz(or .tgz) as well.
This installs on all distros, but does require you to handle dependencies yourself(On SuSE, you have Yast, Apt and Smart to help you with this).
