Let me state for the record that I haven't given up and that this is not a matter of gender. There are men that are prone to showing more affection than others as there are women less interested in public displays of affection. I consider myself to be very independent and hate to be told what to do and to have boundaries... What I mean is that for me a relation is about joy, caring and sharing and not specific behaviors condoned by society or chick flicks

I am not sure if I am going to be as lucky as Dan but I will not deny myself of the opportunity of meeting new people.

In regards to kbk's post... If I am right, you are still young and you have got to face more interesting experiences relating to the opposite sex (or same sex if you are into that... which is not wrong...) Relax and have fun dude (can I call you dude?)

You are right in what you believe about "boundaries" and all. When you are involved romantically with someone, you cannot put them in a cage. It isn't love if one or both has the need to possess the other.
