    OpenOffice Speedups?

Well? Does anybody know of any?
And I'd like to know about this one speedup I heard about in linuxformat magazine, where you're supposed to increase your graphical cache to 30 megabytes. But I don't know the rest. If anybody does then could you please tell me?

    This link might help: http://www.tipmonkies.com/2005/10/31...-startup-times

EDIT: This might seem incredibly flippant, but I just use a text editor. I can understand using OO in a work context (including school work) but not so much for a home user. I know it depends on your needs.

The tipmonkies article mentions oooqs but doesn't link to it. Here it is: http://segfaultskde.berlios.de/index.php?content=oooqs

You may be able to find a binary for it on your install cds (not sure which distro you're using).

This might seem incredibly flippant, but I just use a text editor.
I'll see your "just use a text editor" and raise you "just use vi from the console". I know, many people will shudder at the thought.
